Member library dues are used to keep the supplies current and in good condition. Any member library can draw needed supplies from a cache in a localized emergency, and replace them after the emergency ends. Supplies are stored in two cargo containers. One is located in the Corporation Yard at the University of California, Riverside, and the other is located in the Physical Plant Area of the Claremont Colleges. Libraries visiting this Web site can use these lists as models for creating their own supply caches. The Disaster Mitigation Planning Assistance Website (http://matrix.msu.edu/~disaster/) is a searchable database with both Northern and Southern California resources of services, supplies, and experts hosted by the Disaster Preparedness website at Michigan State University The site is includes multiple state searching, state plus national resource searching, and many additional entries that cover much of the country.  It allows you to download your search results to an excel file for inclusion in your written disaster plan.  Sample disaster plans and other resources are also on the site or provide links.
